GAS Jeans Showroom

Chiuppano, Vicenza, Italy

Recently GAS, a premiere Italian apparel brand based in Vicenza, Italy, conducted massive redesigns to its corporate headquarters. Not only did the company aim to improve its office efficiency, but also to transform its premises. By incorporating intelligent LED light fixtures by Philips Color Kinetics it was able to accomplish two of its goals with one solution.

Arkilux was tasked with bringing energy-efficient, vibrant colored lighting into the center of the newly redesigned interiors. Moved from its previous location on the top floor, the showroom is now the heart of the firm and consists of three luminous cubes. Arkilux chose over 60 ColorBlast® 12 fixtures, a wall-washing LED light, to generate rich, saturated color within the cubes. The effects generated symbolize the colors of the double rainbow GAS logo, a brand that was inspired by the two rainbows crossing over each other.

The lighting effects are controlled by iPlayer® 2, a compact show storage and playback system for Philips Color Kinetics products. A Controller Keypad serves as an easy wall-mounted interface to trigger shows with a simple touch of a button.

Now the showroom is the ‘center of attention’ at the new GAS corporate headquarters, and its LED lighting brings forth a dramatic impact.
