Haguenau’s innovative railway station features a distinctively massive clock on its façade. The building’s exterior lighting was designed so travelers can clearly view the clock after dark and to subtly illuminate the structured wall.
The city required a best-in-class lighting solution with the lowest energy consumption. LED offers a sustainable solution and versatility of beam angles, and after an initial solution fell short of expectations, Signify Certified System Integrator, JPS, proposed a fully connected, end-to-end Color Kinetics LED lighting system as the best choice for this application.
Color Kinetics eW Blast Powercore, 4000 K luminaires (40) - 60° lens (22) and 80° lens (18) - are mounted to the overhang 2.5 m (8 ft) apart, 4 m (13 ft) from the illuminated surface, and are completely hidden.
Completed in July 2022, the Color Kinetics fixtures deliver beautifully even and understated lighting – all with low energy consumption.
