Omni Viking Lakes Hotel

Featuring subtle elements reminiscent of American Nordic landscapes, the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is conveniently located close to the Minnesota Vikings football team’s headquarters and practice facility. Color-changing lighting on the building was desired to reflect the theme of the hotel and region.

Color Kinetics LED luminaires were selected for their ability to best display the Minnesota Vikings team colors and general color-changing capability. In a mesmerizing direct-view application, Color Kinetics Vaya Tube, RGB - 230 4-foot fixtures - (now specified with Vaya Tube G2, RGBW) were placed in continuous vertical lines across the building façade. Two different shades of blue were used to create the team’s iconic purple color.

Completed in September 2020, the Color Kinetics lighting solution enables both static and dynamic lighting effects that give the building prominence among its surroundings.
